Faisalabad: Qawal Sher Miandad was injured early on Friday after his vehicle was fired upon by dacoits.
On his way back from a late night qawali in Madina Town, Sher Miandad’s vehicle was stopped at and then fired upon by dacoits.
One bullet hit the qawal near his heart. The dacoits also stole Rs. 200,000 from the vehicle.
Sher Miandad is receiving treatment at Civil Hospital where he is said to be out of danger.
Meanwhile RPO Riffat Mukhtar Raja has asked CPO Faisalabad to compile a report on the incident.
