Water is a colorless, odorless and tasteless chemical substance, which is the main constituent of earth’s oceans, lakes, streams, rivers and seas. Water is the most essential fluid required for the survival of humans, animals, birds, plants and of every living being.
Of all the water on our planet earth, 97% is salt water and less than 3% constitutes fresh water. Most of the earths freshwater is frozen which exists in form of glaciers, ice caps or is deep underground in aquifers.
Life is not possible without water. Water is a universal solvent. Water is cycled continuously on earth through evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, and various other means. Water is required for many domestic processes such as washing, cooking, cleaning, bathing etc.
Our bodies lose water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s crucial to rehydrate and replace water by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water.
Water is the main component of saliva. It’s critical for breaking down
solid food and keeping your mouth healthy. If you find your mouth is drier than usual, increase your water intake.
Staying hydrated is critical to maintaining a normal body temperature. Our bodies lose water when we sweat, and in hot environments. Sweat keeps our bodies cool, but our body temperatures will go up if we don’t replenish the water we lose. That lack of water causes dehydration, which in turn causes levels of electrolytes and plasma to drop.
Water helps lubricate and cushion our joints, spinal cord, and tissues. This helps us to be more physically active, and reduces the discomfort caused by conditions such as arthritis. Our bodies use water to sweat, urinate, and pass healthy bowel movements. We all need water to replenish fluids lost from sweating. We also need water in our systems to have healthy stools and avoidconstipation.
Drinking plenty of water while working out, taking part in sports or just being on the move, is essential. Keeping ourselves hydrated also affects our strength,
Power and endurance drinking water helps to boost our metabolic rate. This boost has a positive impact on our energy levels. Drinking 500 milliliters of water can boost the metabolic rate by 30 percent in both men and women, one study has found. Negative effects of exercising in the heat, without staying hydrated, can result in serious medical incidents. In fact, extreme dehydration can cause seizures, and sometimes, even death.
Dehydration is the result of the body being deprived of adequate water. And, since water is critical for the successful functioning of many bodily functions, dehydration can be very dangerous. Even leading to fatal consequences. Severe dehydration can lead to serious outcomes, including: Seizures, swelling in the brain, kidney failure,
Make sure to drink enough water to replace what’s lost through sweating, urination, and bowel movements, to avoid dehydration.
It’s pretty obvious that having adequate water in your body is critical to nearly every part of it. Not only will maintaining your commended daily intake
current state of good health, it could also improve it in the end long run. The amount of water you need will depend on the environment and climate you live in, how physically active you are, and whether you are suffering from anillness, ailment or any other health problems.
Water is essential in lubricating joints. Water flows in our body in form of fluids carrying nutrients and oxygen to cells and organs, maintaining osmotic intensity also carrying wastes away from cells andorgans. In human body water protects tissues, joints, spinal cord, brain tissues. It also helps to create saliva, regulating body temperature, flushing wastes from our body, carrying nutrients and oxygen to different tissues and organs, helps to maximize our physical performance.
Water must not be wasted, because excess of anything is not good. We should store water. Dams are formed for the storage of water, Water is used to generate electricity. Dams are also formed to prevent flood, which is really dangerous for survival.
In Pakistan, we have following dams 1. Rawal Dam 2. Tarbela Dam 3. Neelum-Jhelum Dam 4. Mangla Dam5. Mirani Dam6. Diamer Bhasha Dam7. Khanpur Dam8. Sabakzai Dam9. Hub Dam 10. Satpara Dam11. Darawat Dam12.
Pakistan is a country where rainfall is uncertain therefore dams play important role in storage of water. Hydro-electricity which is produced by water is generated from the water which has been stored indam. Many hydro power projects in Pakistan are working at the places where dams have been constructed. Whenever rain occurs water is stored in dams to prevent flooding.
When excess of water occurs, water overflows from the dam, rivers etc and flood is caused flowing through ever nearest humankind. city, village, fields, forest, destroying everything that comes in its paths taking people’s lives, their houses, destroying fields. This only Occurs because of negligence in the storage of water, in its regulation. Water provides many benefits but if it is not regulated properly, it is harmful to survival. Furthermore, Allah Almighty has instructed humankind and store water.
Water moistens tissues in eyes, nose and ears .Apart from these functions, water also plays a vital role in everydaylife such as washing, bathing, cleaning not to be wasteful water. cooking drinking, hydro electricity generation ,feeding plants etc.
Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) exemplifies the “logical approach to sustainable water use” through the manner in which he performed the ritual ablution. The principal of w at e r conservationbeautifully illustrated by the rule which says that while making rightaway. ablutions (wudu) we should be abstemious in the use of water even if we have a river at our disposal.
Our religion Islam, also forbid us from wasting water. Water is not only praised for its life providing and sustaining properties, be. but it is essential in the daily
required to complete ablution prior to the performance of the prayer, five times a day. This ritual cleansing before the prayer signifies the attainment of cleanliness and purification of the body and soul. According to a Hadith narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira,
The Holy Quran and the Hadith teach its followers principles of social justice and equity which extends into the practice of preserving earth’s natural resources, particularly water conservation. According to Islam, water is community resource and is a right for all
If water is not regulated properly it can result in drought, barren land, loss of human life, erosion, life-stock loss, economic impacts, housing displacement, health risks due to water contamination, threats to Salmon and other aquatic species, landsliderisks, so we should develop ways to regulate
If water is not regulated properly, it is expected that a WORLD WAR 3 will take place due to scarcityof water, the signs and causes are also apparent, so we should regulate water and don’t take it as for-granted. Most importantly, all forms of living organisms will go extinct if we do not conserve water
In conclusion, unnecessary usage of water must be stopped at once. Every single person must work to conserve water and restore the balance. If not, we all know what the consequencesare going to be.
