Islamabad 03, July : ( KPN ) Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat congratulates newly elected General Secretary of Union of Non Governmental Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW).
Chairman JKSM Bhat in a statement here in Islamabad today congratulated the newly elected General Secretary of UNIW Mr EYUP AKBAL.
Eyup Akbal is a renowned Turkish Businessman, Chairman of Fuzul Holding, also featured on Forbes as one of the top notch businessmen of Turkey.
The 9th Ordinary Elective General Assembly Meeting of the Union of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW) was held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the MUSIAD Headquarters, İstanbul, Turkey. Today, UNIW has around 400 members from 69 countries of 6 continents.
UNIW was established on May 1, 2005, to work for global peace, human rights, freedom, and justice. UNIW’s goal is to cooperate, collaborate and coordinate the activities of the Muslim NOGs of the world. UNIW’s mission is to play effective role at the UN, OIC and other world forums to seek their understanding towards the issues of the Ummah. Its strategy has been to have global networking of Muslim NGO’s all over the world.
Chairman JKSM Bhat added that we hope that UNIW under its new leadership raises the voice of Muslims being persecuted all of ver the world specially in Lashmir and Palestine.
It’s need of the hour to make sure the World stops its duplicity and implememts UN resolutions and solve the long pwnsing issues of Kashmir and Palestine.
Hundreds od thousands of Muslims have lost their lives to be free from illegal occupations and to decide their own future, but till today intl orgs and the developed world is silent. Bhat added.
Chairman JKSM again congratulated Eyup Akbal and all the members of UNIW and hoped that in the coming years the case of Kashmir and Palestine is well represented and made sure it is heard in International Organizations and a sustainable solutions is carved out.
