Karachi: Sindh government has formed a five-member committee to probe the issues Captain (Retd.) Safdar arrest and Inspector General (IG) of Sindh case.
According to details, provincial Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Education Minister Saeed Ghani, and Sindh spokesperson Murtaza Wahab are part of the five-member committee.
The committee will submit the report to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah after completing investigation.
The notification of the committee will be issued today.
Captain (Retd.) Safdar was arrested from a Karachi hotel on September 19 in response to a case filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leaders for violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. He was later released on bail on the same day.
It was also alleged that IG Sindh was held hostage by officials of federal agency to file a case against Safdar.
