Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi-led fascist Indian government has notified the so-called Jammu & Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rule, 2020, in order to further intensify the procedure for issuance of domicile certificates among non-locals in the territory.
The rules provide a simple and time-bound procedure for the issuance of the domicile certificates so that the process to change the existing demographic composition is overturned in months if not days.
“The rules have provision that applications for grant domicile certificate can be submitted either physically or electronically. The Competent Authority can also issue domiciles certificates electronically,” a statement issued by Indian authorities said.
“In order to further simplify the process and ensure issuance of domicile in the bare minimum time, the Government had issued a notification SO 263 dated 25th of August, 2020 whereby the Competent Authority has been bound to issue the Domicile Certificate provided under clause 1(a) and clause 4(a) within a period of five working days from the date such application is received by it,” the statement added.
The authorities confirmed that more than 14.30 lakh domiciles certificate have been issued against 18.91 lakh applications.
