Srinagar, July 21, 2020: Coming down heavily on state administration and occupied forces, Ab Qadeer Dar, Excutive director Voice of Victims said that torture, harassment and intimidations in state is institutionalized and people and particularly youth are running for their lives.
Ab Qadeer while strongly criticizing forces for thrashing and beating a Pulwama youth, said that during a search operation in Wukhu village of Kakapora town of Pulwama, forces dragged a youth Waseem Ahmed from the house and thrashed him mercilessly.
Everyone in besieged state has a woeful and painful tale to share as no one feels secure and safe, said Qadeer in a statement.
While strongly condemning forces for thrashing youth to pulp ,Ab Qadeer appealed the heads of all rights forums across the globe that include Amnesty International, Asia Watch, and CRC urging them to conduct a thorough visit of besieged valley to take the stock of human rights violations.
Qadeer urged international organisations to build pressure on Delhi to respect human values and treat people as humans.
He in his statement strongly condemned and expressed his resentment over the manhandling of dozens of villagers and vandalizing the property worth lakhs in south Kashmir during the nocturnal raid and termed it as ‘the ultimate highhandedness and highly undemocratic act’ that deserves all forms of condemnations.
