{"id":7425,"date":"2020-12-04T07:50:20","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T07:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/?p=7425"},"modified":"2020-12-04T07:50:20","modified_gmt":"2020-12-04T07:50:20","slug":"croatian-woman-beats-covid-19-aged-99","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/2020\/12\/04\/croatian-woman-beats-covid-19-aged-99\/","title":{"rendered":"Croatian Woman Beats Covid-19 Aged 99"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A 99-year-old Croatian woman gave the thumbs up on Thursday after she successfully beat the new coronavirus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Margareta Kranjcec, who lives in an old people\u2019s home in the central city of Karlovac, was hospitalised in late October after testing positive for Covid-19 but released three weeks later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s over, I feel fine now,\u201d the Vecernji List newspaper quoted Kranjcec as saying.<\/p>\n<p>Kranjcec is bedridden due to her age and fragility but has no serious health conditions.<\/p>\n<p>She was among several residents who tested positive for the virus, although she was asymptomatic, the home\u2019s director Stefica Ljubic Mlinac said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith her fragility and old age it is really amazing how the coronavirus did not do her any harm,\u201d Ljubic Mlinac told AFP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s such nice news\u201d amid the gloom of the pandemic, she added.<\/p>\n<p>Croatia, a country of 4.2 million people, has registered nearly 140,000 Covid-19 infections with nearly 2,000 deaths.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 99-year-old Croatian woman gave the thumbs up on Thursday after she successfully beat the new coronavirus.
