{"id":7392,"date":"2020-12-04T07:29:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T07:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/?p=7392"},"modified":"2020-12-04T07:29:00","modified_gmt":"2020-12-04T07:29:00","slug":"former-accountability-judge-arshad-malik-passes-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/2020\/12\/04\/former-accountability-judge-arshad-malik-passes-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Former accountability judge Arshad Malik passes away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Islamabad: Former accountability judge Arshad Malik, who was at the center of a controversy surrounding leaked conversations about a verdict on former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, passed away in Islamabad on Friday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former judge was receiving treatment for COVID-19 in Islamabad&#8217;s Shifa International Hospital where his condition deteriorated two days ago.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by two sons and two daughters.<\/p>\n<p>On July 6, 2019, Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had presented secretly recorded tapes of the Judge in which Arshad Malik said to Nasir Butt that he had convicted Nawaz Sharif under immense pressure.
