{"id":6671,"date":"2020-10-23T08:21:04","date_gmt":"2020-10-23T08:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/?p=6671"},"modified":"2020-10-23T08:21:04","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T08:21:04","slug":"trump-and-biden-lock-horns-on-corona-in-final-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/2020\/10\/23\/trump-and-biden-lock-horns-on-corona-in-final-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump and Biden lock horns on Corona in final debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>COVID-19 dominated the conversation at the final debate between US President Donald Trump and Democrat contender Joe Biden.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When asked if the two would implement a lockdown in the future to prevent the spread of the disease, Joe Biden said he could not rule it out while Donald Trump said the country should open up now.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also laid the responsibility for the high death toll of the virus at Trump&#8217;s door. &#8220;Anybody who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain the president,&#8221; he insisted.<\/p>\n<p>The final debate was a more restrained affair than the first one held on September 29 in which both parties resorted to name calling and continuous interruptions.<\/p>\n<p>The matter then turned to race with Donald Trump insisting that he is &#8220;the least racist person in the room&#8221;. Biden responded with one of the best lines of the night when he said &#8220;This guy has a [racist] dog whistle the size of a fog horn,&#8221; providing twitter with endless delight on the zinger.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, Biden said he would transition from &#8220;oil-based&#8221; energy resources because &#8220;they pollute significantly&#8221;. President Trump latched on to the statement, &#8220;Will you remember that Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio?
