New Delhi can\u2019t weaken Kashmiris\u2019 resolve through arrests: Saghar<\/p>\n
Srinagar, July 10 (KPN): Indian police arrested over four dozen Hurriyat leaders and activists including Masroor Abbas Ansari in Srinagar.<\/p>\n
The police conducted a raid at a hotel in Srinagar where Hurriyat activists and others were holding a Eid Milan paty on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Besides Masroor Abbas Ansari, police also arrested Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Syed Rehman Shamas, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Mohammad Rafiq Pehlu, Sajjad Gul, Jahangir Gani Bhat, Syed Muzafar Razwi, Hilal Ahmad Wari, Wajahat Qureshi and Mohammad Yasin Butt.<\/p>\n
The detainees were taken to Kothibagh Police Station for investigation, the police said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad while condemning the arrests said that India cannot weaken the Kashmiris\u2019 spirit for freedom. He said that New Delhi was using arrests and prolonged detentions as a means to perpetuate its illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir. He made it clear that India would not succeed in its nefarious designs and urged the international human rights organizations to play their role in the release of Kashmiri detainees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
