{"id":19648,"date":"2022-09-30T07:43:23","date_gmt":"2022-09-30T07:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/?p=19648"},"modified":"2022-09-30T07:43:23","modified_gmt":"2022-09-30T07:43:23","slug":"imran-reaches-court-to-apologise-to-judge-for-threatening-remarks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/2022\/09\/30\/imran-reaches-court-to-apologise-to-judge-for-threatening-remarks\/","title":{"rendered":"Imran reaches court to apologise to judge for &#8216;threatening&#8217; remarks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong class=\"location-names\">ISLAMABAD: <\/strong>Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan appeared before a sessions court on Friday to apologise to\u00a0Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry\u00a0in person\u00a0for his \u201cthreatening\u201d remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the deposed premier was booked in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2372410\/imran-khan-booked-under-terrorism-charges\" rel=\"nofollow\">terrorism case<\/a>\u00a0on the complaint of Islamabad Saddar Magistrate Ali Javed for threatening the additional sessions judge of the federal capital, Zeba Chaudhry.<\/p>\n<p>The PTI chief reached the court along with his lawyer Babar Awan but soon left the premises due to the absence of the judge.\u00a0Imran, however, asked the reader at the court to inform Justice Chaudhry that he had come\u00a0to apologise to her.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You have to tell Madam Zeba Chaudhry that Imran Khan visited and wanted to apologise if any of my words hurt her sentiments,&#8221; he told the reader.<\/p>\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/cdn.jwplayer.com\/videos\/Yp7Aqn3a-nMuWCUIu.mp4\">\n<div>\n<div><iframe tabindex=\"-1\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.iframe.ly\/api\/iframe?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.jwplayer.com%2Fvideos%2FYp7Aqn3a-nMuWCUIu.mp4&amp;key=73b4a3e6895a3640b0439dc45f68e4f8\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The PTI chairman was at the court premises for the hearing of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2375330\/imran-other-pti-leaders-bail-extended-in-sec-144-violation-case\" rel=\"nofollow\">Section 144<\/a>\u00a0violation case.<\/p>\n<p>He appeared before Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Zafar Iqbal for the hearing and was\u00a0subsequently\u00a0granted bail.<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to note that last week\u00a0Imran Khan&#8217;s personal submissions had narrowly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2377971\/imran-arrives-in-court-as-ihc-takes-up-indictment-in-contempt-case\" rel=\"nofollow\">secured<\/a>\u00a0him from indictment in the contempt case for threatening Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry.<\/p>\n<p>IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah had appreciated Imran&#8217;s statement thrice.
