{"id":10919,"date":"2021-07-19T07:45:43","date_gmt":"2021-07-19T07:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/?p=10919"},"modified":"2021-07-19T07:45:43","modified_gmt":"2021-07-19T07:45:43","slug":"afghan-conflict-not-in-pakistans-interest-pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailykashmirpost.com\/eng\/2021\/07\/19\/afghan-conflict-not-in-pakistans-interest-pm\/","title":{"rendered":"Afghan conflict not in Pakistan\u2019s interest: PM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The For\u00adeign Office on Sunday said Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Ashraf Ghani had in their recent meeting at Tashkent exchanged views on the Afghan peace process and relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting took place on the sidelines of Inter\u00adnational Conference on \u201cCentral and South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges and Oppor\u00adtunities\u201d held in the Uzbek capital on July 16.<\/p>\n<p>According to FO spokesperson\u2019s office, Prime Minister Khan highlighted that Pakistan has always supported a united, peaceful and stable Afghanistan. He reiterated Pakistan\u2019s consistent support for the Afghan peace process, emphasising that there is no military solution to the Afghan conflict. He stressed that instability and conflict were not in Pakistan\u2019s interest.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister reiterated the call for immediate reduction in violence. It was also emphasised that imposition of a government by force would not lead to the resolution of Afghan conflict and a negotiated political settlement among the Afghan sides was the only way forward. Pakistan will continue its efforts to urge all parties to engage constructively and secure an inclusive, broad-based and comprehensive political solution.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad ad--adjustable my-4 hidden sm:block py-4\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div class=\"js-ad    clearfix\">\n<div class=\"radWrapper  ad__wrapper\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1455520357400-2\" class=\"ad__wrapper__slot\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/1029551\/DAWN-LB-728x90-MIDDLE_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The two leaders agreed to further enhance Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral relations.
